Atlético Madrid’s Uruguayan striker Diego Forlán, the world’s top player in the FTBL Ranking for the past 4 months, will certainly attempt to retain his spot as his side host Greece’s Panathinaikos in the return leg of the Champions League playoff stage tomorrow. Forlán faces a daunting plank of 66.10 rating points to beat, while the gap with number-two-placed Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg has now shrunk to a little over 30 rating points.
Forlán set the high plank with a hat-trick in the 4:1 win over Athletic Bilbao in league action last season. By then, the Uruguay international had scored 12 goals in an incredibly productive run!
