Fiorentina’s Romanian forward Adrian Mutu should take advantage of today’s second leg of the Champions League playoff game against Portugal’s Sporting to boost his overall FTBL rating and capture a spot in the top tier of the FTBL ranking of Serie A strikers.

As it stands, the Romanian will have a plank of just a single rating point to beat tonight. With a tally of 91.34 points at the moment, Mutu trails 8th-placed Giampaolo Pazzini of Sampdoria by 22 rating points.

But future matches could prove more challenging for the Romanian, as he will face a higher plank of 21.70 rating points when Fiorentina take on Palermo in Serie A action next. If Mutu rediscovers his scoring flair, he could well chart a return into the FTBL World Ranking of strikers sometime soon.
