Atlético Madrid’s young goalkeeper and Spain international Asenjo became the top-ranked U21 goalkeeper in Europe on the FTBL chart after helping his side to a 2:0 win over Panathinaikos in their champions League playoff game.
Asenjo picked up 6.55 rating points in the game to boost his overall FTBL rating to 50.81 points. He is now 78th in the FTBL World Ranking of U21 goalkeepers.
Giedrius Arlauskis of FC Unirea Valahorum Urziceni in the Romanian League 1 is second in that ranking with an overall FTBL rating of 49.72 points, while Nice’s Colombian David Ospina is 3rd with 44.64 points over all.
