Barcelona new star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (pictured) scored his first goal for the Catalans on his third attempt to claim the 3rd spot in the FTBL ranking of La Liga strikers.

The Swede international had failed to score in his first two pre-season appearances for Barcelona (against Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Supercup and Shakhtar Donersk in the UEFA Supercup). His first goal in Spain came against Sporting Gijón in the season opener, as Barcelona won convincingly 3:0.

The goal came at the 82nd minute as Ibrahimovic headed in a cross. He earned 11.39 rating points in the game.

Ibrahimovic boosted his FTBL rating to 186.03 points, and in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers he now trails only Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (2013.51 points) and Inter Milan’s Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o (189.05 points).
