Barcelona's young forward Bojan Krkic (pictured) ended his lengthy goal drought by netting one in the Catalans' 3:0 win over Sporting Gijón in their La Liga season opener.
Krkic last scored for Barcelona on May 13, when the Catalans trashed Athletic Bilbao 4:0 in the Spanish Cup.
The young talent had seen his overall FTBL rating shrink from 85 points to 49 in that stretch. The goal against Gijón earned him more than 23 rating points, sending his overall FTBL rating to the more reasonable level (for his talent) of 74.95 points.
Krkic is now 208th in the FTBL World ranking of forwards, but given that his plank to beat in the next 4 games will range from 0 to 6 rating points, it would not be surprising if that rating continues to head upward.
