Barcelona new boy and Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have a plank of just 1.2 rating points to beat in the FTBL system when Sweden take on Malta in their World Cup 2010 qualifier on Wednesday. The plank derives from the Sweden’s 0:1 loss to Denmark.
Sweden pummeled Malta in their first encounter 4:0, and Ibrahimovic recently scored the winning goal against Hungary (2:1) in the dying minutes of the game.
Ibrahimovic, who currently has an overall FTBL rating of 183.05 points, will be competing for the top spot in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers with Valencia’s David Villa (186.67 points), who will also be on duty with Spain, and England’s Wayne Rooney (201.97 points). But Rooney, who tops the FTBL World Ranking at the moment, will have a daunting plank of 30 rating points to beat.
