Genoa defender and Italy international Domenico Criscito (pictured) continued his meteoric rise in FTBL rankings as he helped Italy defeat Georgia 2:0 last Saturday in Tbilisi in World Cup 2010 qualifying.

Despite his young age, Criscito played the entire game to earn 15 rating points in our system and boost his overall FTBL rating to 91.89 points. The 23-year-old is now in 31st place in FTBL World Ranking of defenders.
 

In the FTBL ranking of Italian defenders, Criscito has snatched the top spot from former Juventus teammate Giorgio Chiellini (90.91 points), while he trails only Inter Milan’s Brazilians Maicon (130.53 points) and Lúcio (129.3 points) in the FTBL ranking of Serie A defenders.
