Real Madrid megastar Cristiano Ronaldo, who since signing with the Merengues has been unable to make his mark on the FTBL list of the world’s top forwards, will make another attempt when his side take on Espanyol in La Liga action this coming weekend; he will have a plank of just 5.48 points to beat in order to earn a bonus and inject some much-needed vigor in his personal rating.
Ronaldo, who has been close to disappointing (by his own standards) in his last appearances, currently has an overall FTBL rating of 173 points and remains out of the FTBL Top 23 of strikers. Portugal’s recent draw against Denmark and the narrow 1:0 win over Hungary in World Cup 2010 qualifiers did little to boost that rating.
As Madrid travel to Barcelona to play Espanyol, little seems capable of stopping the Portuguese international from helping net a win and making his long-awaited return in the top echelon of our rating.
