Valencia’s David Silva (pictured left) scored one as his side crushed Real Valladolid 4:2 before their home crowd on Sunday to continue a rise in the FTBL ranking of La Liga midfielders that has brought him within a few rating points of the dominant figures of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Silva’s goal came just 10 minutes into the game. He earned 11.5 rating points in our system to boost his overall FTBL rating to 134.05 points.

In the FTBL ranking of La Liga midfielders, Silva is now in 4th position, ever closer to Barcelona’s Xavi (188.52 points), Real Madrid’s Xabi Alonso (142.97 points), and another Barcelona star, Andres Iniesta (134.38 points).
