Olympique Lyon’s Brazilian Michel Bastos (pictured left) captured the lead in the FTBL ranking of Ligue 1 midfielders after helping the seven-time French champions to a narrow 1:0 win over FC Lorient with the only goal.

Bastos picked up 10 rating points in our system to boost his overall FTBL rating to 132.33 points. He now ranks 10th in the FTBL World Ranking of midfielders.

In addition, the 26-year-old is now in 2nd position in the fiercely competitive FTBL ranking of Brazilian midfielders.
