Wolfsburg’s Brazilian striker Grafite (pictured) rekindled his goalscoring flair last Tuesday with a hat-trick as the Bundesliga title holders downed CSKA Moscow 3:1 in their Champions League group stage game. The Brazilian, who at one point last season topped the list of strikers in the Bundesliga, had lost ground after Wolfsburg’s poor start to the current season.

The 3 goals earned Grafite more than 20 rating points in our system and have boosted his overall FTBL rating to 133.40 points.

The Brazilian will have an excellent opportunity to return among the Bundesliga’s top strikers on the FTBL chart as he will need to beat a combined plank of just 31 rating points in his next 4 games. Given that a simple win for Wolfsburg in one of those games will net him at least 13 rating points (if he plays the entire game) and that he will earn 8 rating points in addition for each goal scored, the task appears definitely within his grasp
