Chelsea’s French international Nicolas Anelka (pictured) was back among the top 6 strikers of the English Premier League in the FTBL ranking as he scored the only goal in the Blues' 1:0 win over always tricky FC Porto in the opener of the Champions League’s group stage at Stamford Bridge last Tuesday.

The goal came in the 48th minute, helped the Frenchman beat his relatively high plank for the game, and earned him in addition 19 rating points in our system.

With an overall FTBL rating of 154.99 points at the moment, Anelka is in 6th place in the FTBL ranking of Premier League strikers, while he is in 15th place in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers, our most prestigious list. Among French strikers, Anelka is second only to Barcelona’s Thierry Henry (177.07 points).
