Atlético Madrid’s Uruguay international Diego Forlán, who until a month ago was the top rated player in the world on the FTBL chart, has since seen his rating shrink dramatically from 260 to just 136.57 points at the moment.
Forlán’s rating suffered another setback when he failed to score as Atlético were held to a 0:0 draw at home by modest Cyprus side APOEL F.C. in their Champions League group stage game last Tuesday.
In his next appearance, Forlán will face a plank of 9.77 rating points to beat. But that seemingly low bar will be particularly hard to clear, as Atlético will be facing title holders and current leaders in the standings Barcelona in La Liga action. If Atlético go down against the Catalan giants, only a goal will be able to prevent Forlán from slipping further down our ranking.
