Liverpool fans will not quickly forget Fiorentina’s Montenegrin teenager Stevan Jovetic (pictured), who produced 2 goals to sink the Reds (2:0) in a surprising Champions League group stage game upset yesterday: he doubled by capturing the lead in the FTBL ranking of Montenegrin strikers, elbowing aside AS Roma’s Mirko Vucinic.
Jovetic’s first came in the 28th minute as he took advantage of poor defending by the Reds. He was back to indicate he really meant business just 10 minutes later.
The two goals earned the youngster 22.33 rating points in our system to boost his overall FTBL rating to 100.96 points. Jovetic has now captured the lead in the FTBL ranking of Montenegrin strikers, pushing down former leader Vucinic (100.33 points). Jovetic is also now in 6th place in the FTBL Top chart for U-21 strikers.
