Manchester United’s veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs (pictured) proved he remains a valuable asset for the Mancunians despite his age as he helped them rally from a goal down to eventually net a narrow 2:1 home win over German champions Wolfsburg in Champions League action yesterday at Old Trafford.

Giggs’ equalizer came in the 59th minute from a set piece. He picked up 20.35 rating points in our system for the effort and now has an overall FTBL rating of 108.32 points. His is in 27th position in the FTBL World Ranking of midfielders.

Giggs now tops our world ranking of midfielders over 35 years of age, ahead of Hamburg’s Brazilian Ze Roberto (107.59 points). He also continues to sit at the top of our ranking of Welsh midfielders.
