Wolfsburg’s Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko managed to hold on to a spot in the FTBL World Top 23 of strikers thanks to his goal, despite the German champions' 1:2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Dzeko earned a spot in the World Top 23 a day earlier thanks to the fact that Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic lost 7 rating points in our system despite Barcelona’s 2:0 home win over Dynamo Kyiv in their Champions League group stage game last Tuesday: the Swede did not score, was substituted and, as a consequence, saw his tally shrink to 180.26 points.
The Bosnian striker now has an overall FTBL rating of 188.35 points and is at the foot of the ranking.
