Zenit St. Petersburg leader Konstantin Zyryanov could use this weekend’s central game in the Russian Premier League against Dynamo Moscow to chart a path into the European Top 23, the FTBL list of the Old Continents’ best midfielders.

With an overall rating of 121.59 points at the moment, the Russian international will face a plank of 13 rating points to beat against Dynamo, and a victory, with goals to boot, will clear the path into the elite group.

The bottom spot in the Top 23 is occupied at the moment by Leverkusen’s Simon Rolfes with a tally of 125.46 points. But the German will face a tough plank of more than 19 rating points when his side host FC Nurnberg tomorrow.

Zyryanov was in the FTBL Euro Top 23 last April.
