While all manners of German specialists continue to criticize FC Koln’s international
Lukas Podolski and Bayern Munich’s
Miroslav Klose for their lack of convincing football and form at the moment, a new star seems to have emerged from the shadows in the name of Bayer Leverkusen’s
Stefan Kießling.
He currently has an FTBL rating of 149.37 points, while closest rival Podolsky has 125.32 points. He leads in the race for the title of top scorer in the Bundesliga, and Bayer have scored most goals than any other team (18 in 8 games so far) at this juncture. They clobbered Nurnberg 4:0 in league action yesterday.
In our opinion, Kießling has grown to the level of the national team. The decision now rests with head coach Joachim Löw.
