Salzburg’s Marc Janko, the top Austrian football player on the FTBL chart at the moment, was at it again last night, as he scored four goals in a 7:1 humiliation of bottom-placed SK Austria Kärnten in the Austrian league. Janko earned 21.32 rating points in our system to see his rating swell to 119.28 points.
Janko’s last such explosion dates back to October 19 of last year, when he scored four goals against SC Rheindorf Altach; Salzburg then won 4:3. He had a series of hat-tricks against Kapfenberger SV (7:3), FK Austria Wien (5:1), and SK Austria Kärnten (4:1) after wards.
Braces followed later, as well as games in which the striker scored just one goal, before this latest explosion.
