Hamburg midfielder David Jarolim (pictured) is now solidly in the lead in the FTBL ranking of Czech playmakers after contributing a goal in the 38h minute to help the current vice-leaders in the German Bundesliga secure a 3:1 victory at bottom-placed Hertha Berlin last Sunday. The effort earned him 10.2 rating points in our system, boosting his tally to 96.86 points. He is now in 42nd place in the FTBL world ranking of midfielders, one of our most prestigious lists.
Jarolim took the lead among his fellow Czech midfielders two weeks ago after surging past Bordeaux’s Jaroslav Plasil (76.73 points). He has now stretched that lead to 20 rating points and has the third-highest FTBL rating among Czech players. Only Chelsea’s star goalkeeper Petr Cech (119.39 points) and Sochaux’s Vaclav Sverkos (97.04 points) can boast higher numbers.
