Olympique Lyon forward Sidney Govou (pictured) produced a solid enough performance in France’s 3:1 win over Austria in last Wednesday’s World Cup 2010 qualifier in the Hexagon to return in the top tier of the FTBL ranking of Ligue 1 forwards.
Despite not scoring a goal, the French international earned a solid 16.53 rating points in the FTBL system for playing the entire game without substitution.
Govou’s rating increased to 122.33 points, which puts him in 47th place in our world ranking of forwards. In the French Ligue 1, Govou is now in 7th place after having pushed down Olympique Marseille’s Senegal international Mamadou Niang (107.91 points).
