Serbian international Dejan Stankovic broke into the World Top 23 after Inter’s 5:0 crushing of Genoa in Serie A action yesterday. But how long will he last in that elite group?
Our opinion is that the Serb is more likely that not to remain among the best for some time, and that he will rise even further. Inter are looking forward to three consecutive home games. In the first of those, Stankovic will have no plank at all to beat: a game that cost him 1.7 rating points will automatically drop from his Last Five. In the game that follows, the plank will be somewhat higher, but if Inter can crush 5th-ranked Genoa 5:0, one has to wonder what they can do to the likes of Catania and Palermo.
We predict that, bar no serious injuries or disqualification, Stankovic will hit the 150-mark in the FTBL rating and will reach the 4-5th place in the world ranking by the beginning of November.
