Wolfsburg's Bosnian international Edin Dzeko continues to top the FTBL world ranking of strikers with a tally of 221.81 points. In the Champions League game against Turkey’s Besiktas J.K. today, he will have a plank of just 12.90 rating points to beat, in contrast to the very high hurdles he faces regularly.
The Bosnian set the plank in the 1:2 loss to Manchester United in the same competition, in which he scored Wolfsburg’s only goal. In the game against the Turks, Dzeko has an excellent opportunity to add to his tally, even if Wolfsburg lose. If he scores and the Germans win, Dzeko will substantially extend the lead over his immediate rival, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo (209.15 points). The Portuguese, on top of that, is currently nursing an injury.
