Cote d’Ivoire international Salomon Kalou returned with two goals as Chelsea trashed Atlético Madrid 4:0 in their Champions League group stage game yesterday at Stamford Bridge, adding approximately 20 rating points to his FTBL rating.

This could be the beginning of a remarkable rise in the ranking: in the next games against Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers in Premier League action Kalou will have a plank of less than a single rating point to beat!

But Kalou is only the number 3 striker at Chelsea. If coach Carlo Ancelotti decides in his favor over Didier Drogba, who is schedule to return after his 3-game suspension, Kalou could take his overall FTBL rating to 110 points by November 1st.
