Capdevila (pictured) claimed the 2nd spot in the FTBL ranking of La Liga defenders with the winner in embattled Villarreal’s first win of the season over struggling Málaga yesterday (2:1).

The Spain international earned more than 19 rating points in the FTBL system for the goal and for playing the entire game without substitution. He now has a tally of 105.41 points and is 10th in the world ranking.

Capdevila has also captured the 2nd spot in our ranking of Spanish defenders, where he substantially trails Barcelona’s Carles Puyol (129.09 points), the current leader.
