Liverpool’s Spain international Fernando Torres (pictured) still dropped in the FTBL ranking of Premier League strikers despite his opener in the Reds' 2:0 home win over arch-rivals Manchester United yesterday.
Torres had a high threshold of 32.48 rating points he failed to clear, despite the goal. He set the plank in the 3:2 win over West Ham United, in which he netted a double. Torres’ overall FTBL rating now stands at 164.54 points, not enough for a spot in the World Top 23.
Even remaining in the top tier of our ranking of Premier League strikers could be a challenge for the Spaniard: in Liverpool’s next game against Fulham, he will face a plank of more than 40 rating points. He set the plank with a hat-trick in the 6:1 drubbing of Hull City.
