Toulouse striker Andre-Pierre Gignac (pictured) captured the lead in the FTBL ranking of strikers in the French Ligue 1 with strong performances for the French squad in early October and has continued to strengthen his hold playing for his club.
In Toulouse’s 2:0 away win over RC Lens in the French league last Sunday, Gignac scored the 2nd goal to boost his overall FTBL rating by 7.38 points.
With a tally of 154.2 points at the moment, the France international is 15th in our world ranking of strikers and 3rd among French strikers, behind Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka (186.8 points) and Barcelona’s Thierry Henry (178.9 points). Gignac could further reduce the gap with his star rivals by 15-30 rating points if he can extend his scoring streak in his next appearance.
