Sergio Aguero: Time to Step Out of the Shadow?

Atlético Madrid’s forward Sergio Agüero began yesterday's Champions League game against Chelsea on the bench, but that did not stop him from becoming one of the central figures in the encounter: he first opened the score at the 66th minute, before leveling the game in stoppage time by curling a free kick into the Blues’ net.

The Argentina international is now in perfect position to advance in the FTBL ranking: he will have a combined plank of just 10 rating points to beat in his next 4 games. Even despite the fact that Atlético will host #2 in La Liga standings Real Madrid in their next game, Agüero is all but certain to boost his FTBL rating. We believe Agüero is capable of hitting the 140- to 145-point mark by the end of November and improve his position in our world ranking of young players.
