Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the top of the FTBL world ranking with a tally of 205.93 points despite sitting out the Champions League game against AC Milan last night (1:1).
Chelsea's Frank Lampard was #1 in the world going into the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid. Despite being a midfielder, Lampard had managed to gather more rating points than any forward. But the England international dropped 12 rating points in the Blues' 2:2 draw at Atletico to see his overall FTBL rating shrink to less than 200 points, in line with our earlier predictions.
Cristiano continues to nurse an injury but has now returned to the top. His return to action is expected in Portugal's WC 2010 playoff game against Bosnia Herzegovina on November 14. Ronaldo will face a plank of 33 rating points to beat in that game.
