Rubin Kazan’s impressive, so far, display in the Champions League has reflected in the FTBL rankings of the Russian champions’ leading players: Sergei Ryzhikov (pictured) has captured the lead in our ranking of goalkeepers in the Russian Premier League, so have Cesar Navas among defenders and Karadeniz Gokdeniz, among midfielders.

Ryzhikov earned approximately 9 rating points in the FTBL system after denying the fearsome Barcelona attack the pleasure of even a goal in Kazan. He now has an overall FTBL rating of 62.98 points. Spaniard Navas picked up more than 10 rating points to boost his tally to 67.60 points, while Turk Karadeniz took his tally to 83.93 points, the highest ratings among midfielders in the league at the moment.

Only Spartak Moscow’s Brazilian Welliton retains the lead in our ranking of forwards in the Russian league with a tally of 101.6 points.
