As Bundesliga current leaders Bayern Leverkusen prepare to host Eintracht Frankfurt in league action tonight, goalkeeper Rene Adler (pictured) will be lucky to avoid a drop in the FTBL rankings.
The Germany international will be facing a daunting plank of 17.25 rating points in the FTBL system, a plank he set in Germany’s 1:0 win over Russia in a World Cup 2010 qualifier recently.
As the Bundesliga is Category 5 in the FTBL system, while World Cup qualifiers are Category 6, Adler will need to save a penalty in order to avoid a loss. He currently has an overall rating of 78.62 points at the top of our ranking of Bundesliga goalkeepers, while his closest rival, Schalke 04’s Manuel Neuer, trails by less than 1.5 rating points.
