Olympique Marseille’s Argentina international Gabriel Heinze was at it again last Friday, scoring the only goal (and winner) for his side for the second time this month and earning a whopping 23.3 rating points in the FTBL system, a considerable feat for a defender.
After Heinz netted victory for Marseille last month against FC Zürich, we predicted a big increase in his FTBL score, which happened by November 4, again, just as we predicted. His FTBL score hit the 95-point mark.
True, Heinz’s score dropped again to 82 points after Marseille conceded 5 goals against Olympique Lyon, but yesterday’s goal against beleaguered Paris Saint-Germain restored him to 93.51 points.
However, Heinz will be lucky to avoid another fall in the near future: he will have to “defend” a daunting 23.3 rating points against a resurgent AC Milan in the Champions League at the San Siro. His combined plank in the following 3 games will amount to 13.5 points, a relatively easy task that should allow him to return to his usual level.
