Arsenal’s Almunia will be handed a perfect opportunity to break into the top 3 of the FTBL ranking of goalkeepers in the Premier League when the Gunners host Belgium’s Standard Liege tomorrow.

Almunia, who has overall FTBL score of 66.90 points at the moment, will go into the game with a guaranteed 10 rating points: he lost as much in the 2:4 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League. This should help him cover the 18-point gap with No 3 in the ranking, Liverpool’s José Reina (84.44 points).

If the Gunners come out on top, as should be the case given their current form, Almunia could bag a reward of more than 25 rating points. A draw could still do the trick, but it will definitely be better to win.
