Barcelona’s young defender Gerard Piqué (pictured right) had the best of former teammate Samuel Eto’o (left) as the Catalans outclassed Serie A leaders Inter Milan yesterday in the return leg of their Champions League's group stage clash.
Piqué not only managed to mothball Eto’o during the whole encounter, but he also scored one of Barcelona’s two goals (2:0).
The young Spain international reaped a reward of more than 15 rating points in the FTBL system to capture the 3rd spot in our world ranking of defenders with a score of 116.04 points. Eto’o, who, going into the game had a chance of entering the FTBL World Top 23, our list of the world’s top 23 players, missed his chance.
