Stuttgart veteran Jens Lehmann (pictured) took the lead in the FTBL ranking of goalkeepers in the German Bundesliga following his side’s 2:0 away win over Rangers in the Champions League yesterday, their continuing travails in the Bundesliga notwithstanding.

Despite having a quiet evening, the former Germany international nonetheless added more than 15 rating points to boost his FTBL score to 87.15 points.
 

Lehmann has displaced Werder Bremen’s Tim Wiese (83.68 points) from the top. Wise took the lead in the ranking after his side’s 6:0 trouncing of Freiburg in the Bundesliga recently.

The plank to beat for Lehmann in his next game will amount to approximately 8 rating points, while Wise will have to clear 10 rating points. It appears Lehmann will most likely increase his lead in the next round of the Bundesliga.
