Football fans could be forgiven to expect a serving of splendid football when Spanish champions Barcelona take on bitter rivals Real Madrid this coming Sunday at the Camp Nou in La Liga, with midfielder Xavi among the many expected to use the occasion to spruce up their FTBL score.
Xavi, who has a score of 147.13 points at the moment, is in the FTBL World Top 23 all right, but not in his usual lead role. He has also slipped down our ranking of Spanish midfielders, which Arsenal’s Cesc Fàbregas now tops with a tally of 157.39 points, 10 points well ahead of Xavi.
Nonetheless, Xavi will have a chance to regain lost ground in Sunday’s game, given he will have to clear a bar of just 6 rating points in our system. If Barca win, Xavi could close the gap with Fàbregas, who will have a much tougher task when the Gunners take on No 1 Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, as well: a bar of 23 rating points to clear.
