Former Real Madrid striker Soldado was impressive yesterday as Getafe trashed bottom-placed Xerez CD 5:1, netting a hat-trick and adding an eye-popping 42.45 rating points to his FTBL score.

Soldado boosted his score to 116.79 points to claim a spot in the top echelon of our ranking of Spanish strikers. He had a score of approximately 120 points back in September, before his numbers collapsed.

In his next game, Soldado will be watched closely to see if he can sustain the rhythm he set yesterday: his plank to beat in the game against Villarreal will be more than 23 rating points. He set the plank in the 2:0 win over Athletic Bilbao.
