England international Emile Heskey (far right) returned in the top tier of the FTBL ranking of British strikers after earning a whopping 23.34 rating points in our system by grabbing the opener in Aston Villa’s 2:0 win at Sunderland in Premier League action yesterday. He now has an overall score of 102.45 points.

This is Heskey’s highest score so far this season. In early January the England international had more than 100 points, but he subsequently slumped due to instability in his game. He has remained below 100 points for 11 months running.

Heskey is only the second Villa player in the top 6 of our ranking of British strikers, the other being Gabriel Agbonlahor (142.28 points).
