Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets will go into the final of the Club World Cup in the UAE against Argentina’s Estudiantes de La Plata as the No. 2 in the FTBL world ranking of U-21 midfielders with an overall score of 113.58 points.
Werder Bremen’s Germany international Mesut Özil remains the No. 1 in the world with a tally of 115.53 points, but his lead has shrunk to a little less than 2 rating points. Busquets’ goal against Mexico’s Atlante in Barcelona’s 3:1 win in the semi-final of the Club World Cup earned him approximately 15 rating points in the FTBL system.
With a plank of little over 3 rating points to beat in the final, Busquets has an excellent chance to surge to the top of the ranking. Özil will face a plank 10 rating points higher in the meantime.
