Fulham’s Austrian international Mark Schwarzer (pictured) became one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the English Premier League in the FTBL ranking after keeping his slate clean in the 3:0 humiliation of Manchester United at Craven Cottage last Saturday.

Schwarzer picked up more than 9 rating points in our system to boost his overall FTBL score to 97.63 points. He is now behind Aston Villa’s U.S. goalkeeper Brad Friedel (100.79 points), who has not conceded a single goal in 4 straight games.

Chelsea’s Czech international Petr Cech remains the top goalkeeper in the Premier League at the moment with a score of 104.17 points. But Cech has been losing ground, and his lead has now shrunk to just 3 points and change after he dropped more than 7 rating points in yesterday’s 1:1 draw against second-from-bottom West Ham United. One of his two rivals could well elbow Cech aside and claim the top spot by yearend.
