Argentina international Carlos Tevez is the highest rated player in the FTBL system at Manchester City at the moment with a score of 129.62 points.
Tevez, who joined City at the beginning of the season from rivals Manchester United after an acrimonious end of a successful stint at Old Trafford, could very well end the year as the best player at City. In the next game against Stoke No. 10 Stoke City, he will face a plank of just 8 rating points to beat in our system, followed by a plank of 23 points in the last game of the year against Birmingham City. If he produces strong performances in these games (as he has done often so far) and City win at least one of them, he is certain to add to his tally.
Tevez’s nearest rival at the club is Togolese star Emmanuel Adebayor (110.53 points). Adebayor, who has been axed from the first team for some time now, will face a plank of 16.45 points against Stoke City and 6.53 points against Birmingham if new coach Mancini is better disposed towards him. He can threaten Tevez only if he scores.
In the FTBL ranking of Argentine forwards, in which he is in 2nd position, Tevez also has a chance of toppling the current leader, Atlético Madrid’s Sergio Agüero (154.83 points); if he scores goals, that is.
