The highest ranked Norwegian player in the FTBL system at the moment is AS Roma’s defender John Arne Riise, just as in Neighboring Denmark, where the leader is also a defender playing in the Italian Serie A.
Riise is in excellent form at Roma, even though he is scoring fewer goals than he used to in his English Premier League days with Liverpool: 8 goals in 6 months.
Riise is the only Norwegian player with a score of more than 100 points in the FTL system at the moment (101.21 points). The best ranked Norwegian forward, Aston Villa’s John Carew, trails by 20 rating points!
In his next game Riise will face a plank of 9.6 rating points in our system. Considering Roma are enjoying a run of 13 straight wins, he should be able to beat that the plank. Roma will host Genoa this coming weekend in the Serie A. They won the last 2 games between the two.
