Inter Milan’s Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o has reclaimed the top spot in the FTBL ranking of forwards in the Italian Serie A.
Eto’o scored the second goal in Cameroon’s 3:2 laborious win over Zambia in the African Nations Cup yesterday to pick up 11.58 points in the FTBL system. In the meantime, Fiorentina’s Alberto Gilardino, who captured the lead last week, saw his brief reign end as he dropped approximately 16 points after the loss to Bologna in the Serie A. Eto’o now sits 16 points clear at the top.
With an overall score of 191.61 points, Eto’o is also back in the FTBL World Top 23, our list of the world’s top 23 players. But he might have a hard time staying there; his plank to beat in the next game against Tunisia will be a challenging 23.7 points. Even a huge win might not be enough to beat that plank. Tunis, meanwhile, have conceded just one goal so far in 2 games.
