Dutch international Dirk Kuyt (pictured) struck twice to give Liverpool a crucial 2:0 win over rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League yesterday, putting perhaps the first touches on a revival of the Reds, who have so far had a disappointing campaign. The brace allowed Kuyt to return in the top 6 of the FTBL ranking of forwards in the EPL with a score of 161.26 points, while Arsenal’s Robin van Persie (160.02 points), who is currently nursing an injury, has exited that group.
Kuyt picked up 16.20 points in the FTBL system in yesterday’s game and could further add to his tally in the next 2 games, in which his combined plank to beat will be at just 2.63 points.
Liverpool have been struggling so far this season, and yesterday’s crucial win could well mark the beginning of a revival for Coach Rafael Benitez’s man.
