Bordeaux’s Marouane Chamakh (center) was able to hold on to the top spot in the FTBL ranking of forwards in the French Ligue 1 thanks to the win over Grenoble.
This was the first time Bordeaux managed to score more than 1 goal against Grenoble in the French Ligue 1. After falling behind, the leaders responded with 3 successful strikes. The most important goal that allowed Bordeaux to take the lead was scored by Chamakh.
Chamakh almost beat the high plank he faced in the match; he shed just 0.19 points. He not only retained the top spot in the ranking, but also created an excellent basis for a rise; his plank to beat in the next game against No. 19 US Boulogne will be just 4.9 points.
