Twenty-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Toni Kroos (right) continues to impress. He climbed to 3rd place in the FTBL ranking of midfielders in the Bundesliga after his side’s 3:0 win at TSG Hoffenheim in league action yesterday.
Kroos’s progress has been the result of both personal and team efforts; Leverkusen have won 3 in a row, while Kroos has scored 5 goals in his last 4 games.
In his next 2 games Kroos will have to “defend” 17.32 points against low-ranked SC Freiburg and Bochum. This should be an excellent opportunity to increase his score to 135-140 points and fight for a spot in the top echelon of our world ranking of U-21 midfielders. The current leader in that ranking, Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets, has an overall score of just 137.97 points.
