Defender Gerard Piqué (left) benefited most in the FTBL system from Barcelona’s 1:0 win at Sporting Gijón yesterday in La Liga; he picked up 11.02 points to boost his tally to 135.82 points. He now has a better score than teammate and established star Carles Puyol (right) and is 3rd in our world ranking of defenders.
Piqué went into yesterday’s game with a much lower plank to beat than most of his teammates. This resulted in a huge haul, and he is also now the top-ranked Spanish defender.
Puyol failed short of the plank of 17.60 points he faced in the game. He now has a score of 127.94 points. Piqué will face a high plank in his next game.
