World Ranking of Forwards: Rooney Begins February As Best

There was only one change in the FTBL world ranking of forwards in January; Manchester United star and England international Wayne Rooney (center) toppled Bayern Munich’s Germany international Mario Gómez as the world’s top forward. Rooney took the lead on January 23 after the game against Hull City, in which he scored 4 goals and picked up approximately 50 points in the FTBL system. He added another 6.29 points in yesterday’s 3:1 win over No. 3 Arsenal to further consolidate his position. He now has an overall score of 257.55 points.

Rooney scored the second goal yesterday against Arsenal and picked 28 points. The gain allowed him to beat the high plank he faced in the game.

Meanwhile, Gómez was hurt by his failure to beat the plank he set in December of last year. If he fails again to beat the combined plank of 70 points he faces in the next 2 games, he will continue to drop in the ranking. Gómez has an overall score of 209.26 points at the moment and is No. 3 in the world.
