Irish international Robbie Keane has traded Tottenham Hotspurs for Celtic F.C., where he will be the highest rated player, irrespective of position, in the FTBL ranking with an overall score of 86.27 points. At Tottenham, Keane was 3rd among forwards behind England internationals Jermain Defoe (114.39 points) and Peter Crouch (112.05 points).
The pair Crouch-Defoe had eclipsed Keane, leading to very little first-team football for the Irishman. That might be one of the reasons behind the move. When Keane returned to Spurs from Liverpool a little over a year ago, he sat at the top of our ranking of forwards at the club for a long time, with an overall FTBL score that peaked at 180 points.
Keane will have a perfect opportunity to boost his score in his next 5 game; his combined plank to beat will be approximately 6 points. Celtic, however, fell 0:1 to Kilmarnock in Keane’s debut game yesterday. The loss cost him 0.40 points in our system.
