Corinthians forward Iarley continues to sit at the top of the FTBL world ranking of players over 35 years of age despite the fact that he has not played an official game for a full 2 months. Can anyone topple the Brazilian?
Kenneth Perez of FC Twente has registered the most progress in the FTBL system recently among Iarley’s rivals. He added 16 points in the win over Roda JC and now trails the Brazilian by just 6.82 points. But his plank to beat in the net game will be a daunting 16.17 points.
Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero seems to have a better chance of catching up. His combined plank to beat in his next 3 games will be just 1.54 points. If the recent 1:1 draw against Lazio was the beginning of a resurgence for Juve, then Del Piero has a real chance of closing the gap with Iarley as early as in the next game; after all Juventus won the last 5 games against Livorno, scoring 16 goals against just 3.
